Exploding Cinema shows new independent short films from any filmmaker and on any subject as long as it’s under 20 minutes. We are open access, volunteer-run and funded only by our live show ticket sales. We have been doing shows since 1991 and have provided a vibrant screening experience for filmmakers and audiences alike. As well as a programme of short films, we feature a live band, audience prizes and our trademark kaleidoscopic psychedelic projections that cover every surface that isn’t the screen.
